AMM – Archivio delle memorie migranti

The Archive of migrant memories (AMM) collects and disseminates self-narratives and written and oral testimonies on migration. It produces audio and video documentaries, workshops on self-narrative and anti-racism in schools. It brings together researchers, filmmakers and migrants in the production of oral and written narratives in audio and video form.  

AMM bases its activities on the adoption of participatory methods that encourage the recognition and valorization of a plurality of expressive forms. Authors, researchers, filmmakers, field workers and volunteers strive to bring to life a new way of communication, participatory and interactive, which leaves a trace of ongoing migratory processes and at the same time allows the inclusion of “other” memories in the collective heritage of Italian society.
